Overview

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Berlin’s Friedelstraße, KulturCafé Friedelstraße is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a welcoming community hub where culture and cuisine blend seamlessly. This café offers a thoughtfully curated experience, ideal for those who appreciate fairtrade coffee, vegan delights, and a cozy yet dynamic atmosphere.

One of the highlights is their Vegan Raspberry, a refreshing choice that complements their commitment to inclusive, plant-based options. Customers consistently praise the quality and care behind every dish. Libby Barnes, for example, raves about the vegan soup—creamy yet textured with barley and fresh, vibrant herbs—demonstrating the café’s skill in balancing hearty and subtle flavors. The vegan options here are not an afterthought but a centerpiece, appealing to a diverse crowd seeking healthy, delicious meals.

The space itself invites relaxation and reflection. As Adeline Kim mentions, the greenish window view creates a perfect nook for daydreaming or unwinding before a busy day. The café’s interior balances openness with coziness, offering natural light and thoughtful seating arrangements. This layout supports both solitary visitors and small groups, fostering a sense of community without sacrificing intimacy.

Beyond the culinary fare, KulturCafé Friedelstraße thrives as a cultural venue. According to Zoran Srdić Janežič, the café doubles as an art space, hosting exhibitions, video wall projections, and even yoga sessions in the adjoining studio. This fusion of food, art, and wellness uniquely positions the café as a cultural beacon within Berlin’s eclectic neighborhood of Neukölln.

The staff’s warmth and attentiveness amplify the overall experience. Customers like irem çarpar and Maria Muga highlight the friendly service and inclusive vibe, reinforcing that each visit feels personal and genuine. The owner couple’s openness and smile create a space where every visitor feels welcome, whether they are stopping in for a carefully crafted latte macchiato or engaging with the community events held on-site.

Located at Friedelstraße 28, KulturCafé is easily accessible for locals and explorers alike. It appeals to ethically minded coffee enthusiasts, vegans, artists, and anyone looking for a peaceful yet inspiring spot in Berlin. From expertly brewed fairtrade coffee to homemade treats and creative cultural programming, this café offers a rare blend of nourishment for both body and soul.

Honestly, the vegan soup I had today was easily one of the best soups I’ve ever eaten. Creamy but still bitey barley, perfectly seasoned Veg, fresh mint, sesame. Packed with flavour. Bloody just yum. Also super super cosy and lovely staff. Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

Been to many famous cafes told in the travel book when staying in Berlin. Visited this little cafe out of nowhere just walking around my hotel. As shown, aligned with beautiful greenish window view, very pleasant to stay drinking coffee and daydreaming. Nice owner couple full of smile on their face. Couldnt join because of the flight schedule but this place is well known for community culture sharing space as well. Wanna say thank you for the owner to allow me to have a wonderfully peaceful afternoon moment before taking a flight back. Quite recommendable!

KulturCafe is a nice space serving a faitrade coffee. It looks that each order is took with special care and no hurry. Latte macchiato is designed carefully. Some carrot cake and small cookies as well as homemade chocolate and prepared teas in bags are available. Space is open and at the back there is yoga place and big toalet. For the art festival they also provided space for exhibition - a video wall projections and performance space.

This place is Amazing, we had the most delicious food I have ever had in 8 long visits to Berlin. The owners are serving themselves and are incredibly warm and helpful. The music (low which we appreciated) & light inside create a perfect atmosphere for a nice breakfast-lunch. We had the fava beans and special scrambled eggs and loved them. Thanks so much!!!
